This piece was based on a photo of soprano Renee Fleming. I couldn't find yarn in a blonde skin tone, so I made her brunette. I should have this piece finished in 2025.
Virigina Madsen. This is based on a photograph of her. Her hair, hands, and dress were (painstaking) cut out of copper foil and soldered.
Daniel Benzali, my favorite tough guy. This is based on photographs of him. I didn't know at the time that he had a Chinese rendition of his name. So, I spelled it the best I could in characters. It turns out it is actually spelled 丹尼尔・本泽利. Oh well, it's too late to go back and fix it.
Jesseye Norman, American Diva, RIP. This is based on a photo of her. She is also my Queen of Sheba.
