I try not to be preachy but, I want to call attention the plight of the tiger: They are nearing extinction. Please consider donating to a reputable tiger saving charity. THANKS! If I sell this piece I will make a donation of at least ten percent.
Salomé dances towards her mother, Herodias, with the severed head of John the Baptist, as per her request. Salomé’s face is blank as she is a mere pawn. The story is found in the Synoptic Gospels. See the "Biblical Women" section.
I hope to be finished by Thanksgiving. Please check back with me!
Please check back with me for my next doll, Amaris. Scarlette, Marsha, and Jabari are also underway.
Sacagawea was the interpreter for the Lewis and Clark Expedition. She did much more than interpret. She helped the expedition find food. She smoothed things over with other tribes. She gave birth to Pompey during the expedition, and continued to work. She was 16 when she did all of this. The pattern is from my imagination. Sorry for any inaccuracies. Please check back with me later in the year for the finished piece.
Kindra: Also see her in the doll section. Coming soon more dolls: Freya, Scarlette, and Dahlia. Below is my tiger doll in progress.
Needs more stripes.
Almost done!
It will be an acrylic based on a photo.

Jabari will be my first male doll and will have a martial arts theme. Jabari is Swahili for brave.
I made the buttons out of Fimo clay. They read from left to right: dragon, tiger, snake, brave, and endure
The patch on the left is kanji for ninjitsu. On the right is the kung fu red dragon.

This gorgeous geisha is someone else's unique creation. She is one of my inspirations. I'm confident that when I begin needlepointing her she will take on a life of her own. I mean is anything really 100% original?
